The new “R”
Wines have arrived!
One of Australia’s
greatest winemakers, Chris Ringland, has teamed up with importer Dan Phillips
of The Grateful Palate to create a line of wines that are delicious, critically
acclaimed, and a lot of fun to boot! You
may know Chris’ wines already; in Australia, he’s the force behind
the Bitch Grenache, Pillar Box red, 3 Rings, Greenock Creek and many
others. In Spain, he’s the winemaker for the
cult wines Clio and El Nido from Jumilla, and consults on Veraton, Alto Moncayo
and Aquilon from Campo de Borja. You
can
accuse of of playing favorites, but pretty much anything Chris puts his
hand to
has at one time or another found its way into Gomer’s
Midtown!

Gomer's Midtown is proud to (re) introduce
Del Maguey Mezcals!
Del Maguey (pronounced: ma-gay) brings you a
collection of fine, rare, unblended mezcals made by individual family
producers in tiny remote villages scattered throughout the state of
Oaxaca (prounced: wah-ha-kah), Mexico. Each Del Maguey Mezcal bears the
name of the village where it is produced. The highest level of
integrity is maintained in order to preserve this art, which is revered
by the peoples of the mountains, plains and fertile valleys of this
magical region.
Using natural processes over four hundred years old,
the village palenquero (maker) captures the true body and spirit of
mezcal with only two ingredients: water and the heart of the maguey
(agave). The Del Maguey Mezcals are the only certified organic
Mezcals!
